Hi,

How would I go about modelling crushed ice in 3ds max? are there any tutorials about? or can any one offer me some tips.

You can probably achieve some decently realistic results with certain shatter options.

I mean crushed ice cubes to put in say a cocktail drink

You would probably need sub dividing to pull it off to achieve the roundish/indented corners. But i think the most improtant part is the material, if your rendering it that is.

The Ice itself would be pretty simple to model, its the material and all the texture work that is the real challenge.

I found this tutorial (http://ninjafredde.com/?p=1424) which gives a good effect i think.
