10-01-2003, 06:20 PM
i'm not for this time an cgtalk'expert, sorry for the double post...
10-01-2003, 06:23 PM
wow it's interesting works.
I'm surprise your imagination which is better~!!
I wonder how you render this.
10-01-2003, 07:11 PM
hahahaha thats really a cool idea.
i always thought i could make better transformers if i tried. i guess you had much the same idea.
i'd say the renders look great. concept lighting are all good.
10-01-2003, 07:13 PM
Make an animation of it!
Damn, man! That's a really nice eh... thing, you've created here! The first and second rendering is very cool. Very detailed work. A wire would be cool!
10-02-2003, 12:02 AM
OMG that sh*t is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Great detail, lighting, design.
Very very original, I love it! :buttrock:

Hahaha that is great! :)
Really nice modelling, and the whole thing does look pretty convincing too - nicely done!
The only thing that really bothers me a bit is the red and the white car paint - the reflections are a bit much, in my opinion.
Apart from that I'd say that the tyres could do with some textures (tread), and it would be great to see that last render in an environment :)
10-02-2003, 01:07 AM
Now that's one REALLY mobile home. I would love to see an animation of that thing driving/unfolding/walking
10-02-2003, 01:28 AM
this should be posted in the 1st page ,,its really good man great abd crative work ..keep it up
10-02-2003, 01:43 AM
Wow, thats awesome, you just have to animate it!
10-02-2003, 02:27 AM
Most inovative thing I have seen for a long time.
10-02-2003, 02:29 AM
very good work and great way of making this car more than the average car!
10-02-2003, 03:28 AM
this piece really bring back memories. I kinda like the overall clean look which again reminds me of the good old airbrush work. Well done!
10-02-2003, 03:30 AM
wow that is very unique, very intresting and creative.
10-02-2003, 04:19 AM
how i say in spanish:
Esta un berraquera!
10-02-2003, 06:20 AM
Excellent work! I really love that concept :)
What software did you use?
Great modeling/rendering job!

Hey…I like this…I use to be a big fan of transformers when I was a kid, I had a whole bunch of them…This brings back some memories…I am still mad I sold all of them way back then.
Anyway…very nice work.
10-02-2003, 06:25 AM
10-02-2003, 06:40 AM
Nice work. Very creative. Can't wait to see some anims.
10-02-2003, 06:49 AM
very impressive....u beat me to the concept ....i was planning to make something like this....i mean concept of car ....robots
but anyway very nicely executed
10-02-2003, 07:01 AM
just one thing, how do the wheels move?
William b. Hand

just one thing, how do the wheels move?
I would think by looking at it that it's front-wheel-drive and that they're individually motored... Maybe some of the wiring isn't visible here, but that could just be because it's hidden.
Speaking of "hidden" How come when it's all folded up, we don't see the mass of mechanism through the windows? Does it fold up so neatly that a clear view is possible?
The nuts and bolts of this transformer are very impressively thought out. Excellent job! You'll probably have your own one of these within 20 years...
10-02-2003, 07:50 AM
*makes the transformer transforming noise in my head* Thats awsome man.
10-02-2003, 07:51 AM
im wondering if that really works, i mean than van can really transform into that robot? thats amazing , really creative and hard work u did! congratulations:thumbsup:
i agree about the reflections in white zones, but thats just a little detail, the rest of the materials u used are very very cool, it just looks real:applause:
10-02-2003, 08:05 AM
awesome design and modeled ! and funny too!!:applause:
10-02-2003, 08:24 AM
Wow, one of the most inspiring things on here for a while. Renders are beautiful, what software/renderer? Only thing, you could make the little chrome eyelids on the headlights a little more prominent. Probably just the angle, I see them in some renders on one side but not really on the other. Incredible detail, very nice. Would make an awesome toy- if only they still made metal toys.
10-02-2003, 08:39 AM
WOW! I like the idea. And the realization is perfect.
10-02-2003, 08:44 AM
Rendering and modelling is great.
Cool concept and well thought off
10-02-2003, 08:55 AM
wow! now that's creative. i'm thoroughly impressed.
how long did it take you to figure out the mechanism that makes the thing move? very very nice. :wip:
10-02-2003, 08:57 AM

WWOOWW! Awesome robot/ car you've created! Brings back the memoried from transformers.. ;)
Realistic and funny! Can't say anymore than this:
p.s.: How did you come up with this idea of modeling a transformer car? interesting concept I must say..
I wonder if he can skate downhill? :p :D
10-02-2003, 09:18 AM

10-02-2003, 05:21 PM
Lookign forward to seeing the movie.
As had been said that is a really vool piece of work, very imagnitive. Have to agree wwith a few of the other peoples here though in that some of the textures don't live up to the rest of the model, tyres for example.
Everything is extremely good but with a little more work on the textures you would have an oustanding image.
I love it though, definately deserved to appear on the front page, I might of missed it otherwise and that would have been a shame.
10-02-2003, 07:09 PM
Now that I think about it, it looks more like a Go-Bot. Remember those? Can't wait to see it animated, hats off for showing what scanline can do!
10-02-2003, 07:20 PM
What a good job !
VEry good lighting, modeling and rendering...
I like it so much !
...et encore bravo..!
10-02-2003, 08:17 PM
Very nice. A retro 50's twist to the transformers universe.
Now do the same to a Mini-Cooper car so it can have a little baby mecha to run along beside it.
Oh that is f**king lovely!
Original and bloody well executed, the thought of even attempting that makes my eyes bleed...
Can't wait for the animation.
10-02-2003, 09:01 PM
You've raised the bar for all us GoBOT fans!
Can't wait for the animation!
