Hi,

I have a Agfa Snapscan 600 Artline but I need a USB scanner
now. What can you recommend ? It should cost no more
than 80-90 Euro.

thanks in advance

Bob

dunno bobster...
this is cheap and cheerful...maybe to cheap and cheerful for some...but the quality is very good imho..for the money it can't be beaten...got one at home older version and it kicks some ass.

Thank you flingster. I never heard of Visioneer before.
I don't know if it is avaible in Germany. BTW I don't need
extrem high resolution. 600x1200 is enough for me.
Most important are a good twain software and a good
color quality.

yeah i never heard of them before then i read this review and it blew some of the so called good names out the window which made me sit up and take notice really..and it wasn't bank busting considering my old scan back in the day cost me 500bucks and my new on 120 i think it was...totally impressed the cost of producing ccd's musta dropped dramatically.(works cost around 2100!!!)
can't remember what best make for colour definition was probably something like a canon or an agfa like you had...but that would be a guess...i would search out some reviews if i was you but i'm happy with mine...but then i don't use it that much for colour all my photos i get put to CD and all my sketches are b/w anyways...and i don't hammer it in terms of use like i said its at home..

Thanks for the info bud. I need it for home only too.
But I am a quality freak and want the best for my
money. Otherwise I guess almost every new scanner
is better than mine.

cheers, Bob

Buy a Heidelberg Tango Drumscan, or a Scitex Eversmart Supreme Flatbad (~50.000 $ each), it was a joke.
But I recommend u some canon scanners, they are cheap enough and assure great quality with sppedy scans.
