Title: untitled_1
Name: Nikita Veprikov
Country: Ukraine
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay, ZBrush

While ago i have seen Beksinski art. And was amazed how he makes whole worlds. They seemed like from parallel reality. It was my inspiration. This picture came to my mind about week ago. I worked most of all on perspective and lighting. And pay attention to the wind, which gives life to the picture. Still unsatisfied how some thing came out, but anyway i catched the mood. Not a whole, part of it...

This is a really cool, really unusual and wonderfully abstract piece. I love seeing this kind of work because it's so different from the majority of work that gets submitted. I actually originally thought it was a 2D work when I first saw it, because it has such a nice painterly quality.

Really great stuff, front page for you.

outstanding work. :buttrock:I definetly would like to get a higher resolutioned version of this for print. Is it possible? Let me know via PN if so please and what compensation you need (this is for private purposes only...my living room needs exactly this image!). Really love it.

i had the exact same feeling, i actually realized it was a 3d image once i read the post by Leight ^^

looks beautifull, great illustration. :)

Cool use of 3D - it is pleasing to see it applied to different styles.

I'm afraid, however, I don't like the glaring eyes. To me the eyes are a bit cliche and they detract from the mood of the piece, making it a bit mundane.

This is an awesome picture. Somehoy I´m remembered of the Gremlins. I very much like the lighting and the perspective although Veprikov doesn´t seem to like it very much... I would like to know what are those yellow glowing things inside some of the pustules, I want to know how only one being came to grow, I want to know...

i have read that few people want this picture as print. If you will not use it for commercial purposes but for yourself you can write me private message and i will send you a link to high res picture. Then you can print it somewhere in your city in polygraphy (or in printing.. i am not sure how to say it correctly)

absolutely amazing piece!!!

i feel so much connection with this work , because similar scenarios are often cooked up inside my head too :)
The execution is also great, and like leigh said, it has that really nice 2D painting look, rather than that lifeless 3D render look we often stumble upon.

congrats on your award, you truly deserve it!!!

Eerily beautiful piece with a theatrical feel. Congrats on the award.
It strangely reminds me, in part, of the Momix:Botanica (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrBZmZY91oI) dance-illusionist show I saw earlier this year.

Beautiful image! You captured Beksinski's dual sensations of creepiness and beauty, horror and poetry. Scary things happen there but it's so delightful that you have to go anyway. Composition and color atmosphere are great too. Thanks so much for giving us this piece!

This will be my first post! And I just want to say that this image is really fantastic. I can really feel a very special mood looking at this one. I love the composition, the colours, the fading from light to dark blue color. And also the wind that adds and extra dimension, it´s great. I would really like to have a print of this one in my apartment. I tried to send you a pm without success though. Maybe you could send me a message so that I can just make a reply?

i thought this to be an underwater shot with the flow of particles and the strands to be sea vegetation flowing in the current. excellent camera view and lighting with just a touch of color adds a strong atmosphere that is quite unnerving. very inspirational also.

Wonderful, great and original, plus inspiring to add my own story to it, giving the meaning.
So well done!
I feel that more skeletons would be more scary, but I'm puzzled if those are the creatures themselves or their victims. Maybe instead of 3 pairs of eyes there should be only one, central to piece, depending what you were trying to say. I feel you are not quite satisfied, but why?
Can you say more about it?

Thanks
