I haven't posed any of my work for a while, (maybe cause I never finsh what I start,) But I thought I would get some comments on this head.

The head is poly-modeled in Max 5. So far it's around 700 tri, I'll reduce that more though when I get the hair added.

I'm working on mapping and textureing, then I'll rig it.

I'm just not sure what to do about the corners of the mouth, they look fine from the front, but not the sides. Any helpful ideas?

Your overall layout looks good. It's kinda hard to tell without a wireframe. The shading/smoothing is annoying me (sides of the lips).

The nose, mouth, and cheeks look good. I have a serious problem with the forehead though, it seems to be "bubbling" out in the center. Most people who's foreheads stick out a bit (including me) do so in a way that stops right at the eyebrow line. Your model has a sort of dip above the eye where is should be sticking out a bit.

ok, thats all. keep it up

Sorry about that forgot the wire, so here you go.

I've actually updated the head alittle bit since these shots, mostly poly reduction though, and the inside for the mouth. I'll add shots of the upday later, but I'm still getting that funky check shadow, i can't figure it out.

Thanks for mentioning the forehead. I'd missed that untill you mentioned it.

Okay, couple of small fixes and additions. The Forehead should look better now. I've there is an inner mouth and teeth. I tweeked the ears, eyes, and the annoying conners on the mouth. I think I'm getting closer at fixing the shadows on those coners.

I'll state UVW mapping, tomarrow.

Still comments are welcome.

TRI COUNT: 998 with eyes, and teeth that leaves me 2000 for the body and hands and 500 for props.

Just some more updates

tri count is just under 1200, I'll refine it latter though.

The addition of hair does a lot for your model, I like the overall shape. I still think your forehead, just above the nose, sticks out too far. There should be a more even distribution across the eyebrow line.

Some more texture work and you'll be in good shape.
