Is there news yet on the speakers and the subjects of seminars?

Up till now we find the list of speakers is somewhat... well... not as impressive as last years.
While we would love to go, we can't really decide on the basis of the information given on the site at this moment. So every little bit of extra information is appreciated..
Would be great if there would be a list of subjects of the several seminars as well as an addition to the list of speakers. So we would know wether the seminar will be the money's worth for us.

Or am I being spoiled right now?

It's still over two months to the festival and we'll only be making all the big announcements 6 weeks and up to the festival.

Last year, we announced the Special Conference Day, final list of speakers and sessions 2 weeks before the event. This year we'll be giving more time, but right now it is still far too early.

The problem with announcing stuff to early is that it has a higher chance of it being changed or cancelled. Some of our hottest speakers haven't been announced yet because they're not even sure themselves if they'll be on location or called to another project during that time. ALL of the larger companies such as Imageworks, ILM, Weta, Framestore, etc. will *NOT* even tell us who they're sending to speak until the last minute as they don't know what project the speakers are going to be working on. This is normal of events.

Short answer - yes there will be more information available in a few weeks. Just sit tight!

Leonard when will the content of "Special Conference Day" be announced? well before the "early bird" prices ends I hope so there is time to reserve the right hotels and so on.

Thomas,

Official status on the Special Conference Day - won't be announced till late March due to all the paperwork and legalities.

Unnoficial status: Lord of the Rings ROTK is on (just a matter of who).
Working on ILM.
