i'm making this simple scene and i want to acheive sunlight through the window including shadows. Can someone please tell me how to do this ( type of light, placement, settings, etc.) Thanks

and the software is?
put a free ot tageted spotlight outside shooting in the window, and add volumetric lighting..look up volumetric lighting in the referance material of your package...you'll find specifics regarding your application.
