In the picture and description, the package looks pretty minimal. What happened to the box and manuals?

no such thing as serial dongle either. it's a parallel dongle shown. for mac/pc you need usb.
i just had to exchange my parallel dongle for one.

What did they charge to exchange it for the USB dongle?

!! not a quote !! :) but I think it was like 60 or 70 dollars US.
edit:: rather it was 48US dollars sorry. I was thinking Canadian when i said 60 or 70.
It was just shipping (expedited FedEX) to Canada. I bought the upgrade to 8 which entitled me to exchange the dongle.
If you aren't upgrading I think they charge $99 US, but don't quote me.

He's trying to sell the upgrade disc.
hrmmm...i don't think that's too legit is it?
wouldn't he have to sell his lw 6 version as well, since what he's showing is just an upgrade?
just wondering. :)

yes. you are supposed to sell and provide all previous versions that make up your license. however, since the hardware lock is coming with the package, there may be leniency in the requirement to keep or transfer the older media.
legally speaking of course. not always done in practice.

This one is even more shady:
This ebay seller has 0 feedback ratings, will only accept a Cashier's Check and doesn't include any pictures of what they are selling. While I'm interested, there's just not enough there to make me feel confident in the sale.

While I'm interested, there's just not enough there to make me feel confident in the sale.
then why did u bid??? o, because the reserve isn't met :applause:
but seriously, ask the seller to post information/pictures or to fax you a receipt.
the other thing you can do, is ask the seller for the name the product is registered under and then forward that to newtek and they can confirm if it is legitimately registered.
check this one out, it's from Australia #2756528195 but you pay a $99 fee to go from mac to pc or vice versa.

Well, it was a spur of the moment thing I suppose. I'm glad that I kept the bid very low though. I have already e-mailed the seller, so we'll see what becomes of that.

don't be afraid to go for the mac versions, you might save some coin as I've seen them go cheaper than pc version.
