overall it's nice dude, needs shading and highlights as you mentioned, only thing i would work on is perspective depth, her hand holding out the phone isn't much larger than the one at her side even though it's closer, and for a dynamic popping out effect make her upper torso larger and slowly get smaller down to her feet. just a stylizing idea of course. over all looks like it'll come out rockin!

Thanks mirainokirby, already incorporated your advice into the drawing. I've increased the size of the phone and stretched the hand a little more to give it a greater sense of perspective. It really helped, thanks!!

JUST starting to put in some highlights and shadows. I'm thinking I might make the actual lines of the drawing the same colour as the content its border. (i.e. skin tone around the face, etc...)

What do you think?

well it sort of depends on the feel you want, if you add lines you'll probably wanna add cross-hatch style shading and stuff, giving it a very old school comic book effect, but honestly i reall like the playfulness of the colors you got going undefined by lines. i think by just adding more shades and using the blur tool between them (assuming you're using photoshop) it should come out looking like a neat banner i'd see for nokia or something at one of those phone stores in the mall! btw i like the updated pic! nice!

a little more work on the shadows and perspective as well as trying to change the background. This will eventually be printed on white paper (newsprint in fact) so I can't have the entire background as green. (Unfotunately)

very nice dude! love the touch ups, especially changing the shoe strip color and brightening some things like the eyes. overall i say you are done! and very well done. if you wanted to take it further you could shade even more like her fingers and phone etc. but i think it's time to print it and move to the next piece! *high five*
