Vespa Fever

Here’s my 1955 Vespa 125 "Fenderlight". A few years ago I restored one, (http://www.kokillo.com/vespa[/URL]) and now here's a 3d model of it….. Enjoy

The modelling looks very solid, as does the shader.

The problem is, it looks like you didn't set you mesh smooth. You can still see all the poly faces.

I love Vespa Sooters (though my fav. model is the VB1 150 :)) . Hope to have one someday too.(you kept the one you restored?) Nice model, modeling is solid as said. But the paintjob could be better, so can the chrome, so work on you materials. Don't know if you want to go for realism-realism. A nice simple (classic italian?) enviroment would make it look better also. Any further plans?

btw. Do you have blueprints of the vespa, I have been searching on the net but without succes.

You’re right, you see all the polygons… actually it’s pretty crazy, I modeled it using SolidEdge (I come from 5 year of solid mechanical modeling using CATIA), I had to import it in 3d studio max as STL the same format I use to run the SLS 2500+ machine I have in the lab…

Roman, I did kept the vespa, I just love it… I did not have blueprints but just some picks and a lot of memory from when I had to take it apart and rebuild it.
I also have some good Italian backgrounds, but handling an STL file is impossible. I think I will have to remodel it using Maya for future renderings.
