Well I'm still searching for a way to texture/shade a tree so that it's not photo-realistic and I see that the March 2006 issue of 3D World magazine (#75) had a Q&A titled:
"How do I create a cartoon-style shader and apply it to a tree?"
I can't find this issue on eBay and thought I'd see if anyone here has a copy they'd be willing to sell. Hopefully it's okay to post this, please let me know if I've broken the rules.
