View Full Version : character : Rumble Fish
maniak 09-30-2003, 06:05 PM Here's a mesh character I've done a long time ago in XSI 1.5 and I decide to improve it (XSI 3 / Photoshop) after critics I had on the Focused Critiques forum. The texture is inspired from H.R. Giger.
Thanx
C&C are welcome.

I like the fish alot, I would just make the top fins flow backwards instead of foarwards like real fish. The texture needs to cover more of the fish, have less empty areas. The back part of the tail doesnt flow too well either.
Hi!
The fish looks pretty good! I really like the texturing apart from three little things: firstly there is a visible seam on the forehead (if a fish has a forehead- I don't know  ;) ), secondly the eye does not fit in too well. I'd suggest to add a little bulge around it. Thirdly the fish's texture has some part where it seems like you simply were too lazy too paint details, i.e. the mouth area and the lower fin.
The last point is just my personal impression, but think about 1 and 2 :lightbulb
And don't missunderstand me: I really like that fish it has a very unique style to it. :buttrock:
