View Full Version : Too many keys to edit
kelgy 08-31-2010, 07:06 PM I sometimes get this notice when adding keyframes on a layer to a motion capture file, even if it doesnt appear to have many keyframes in it.
.
I usually create a new layer and keep going-but one time I saved, closed the program and left and came back later and the warning never appeared again as I added keyframes on the layer and was able to complete it without a new layer.
Anyone know why this happens or if its avoidable?

this just means that the timeline can not display all the keyframe visual ticks, if you bring in your zoom bar you will see them start to show up. it is a badly named error and is not anything to worry about.

Thanks!
I didnt like having to make multiple layers for a single keyed attribute.

Too bad they screwed it up after MB 7.5 ext 2. Back then you could select all keys and then make the time segment smaller and still keep the selection of it, this would enable you to move every key without the stupid "too many keys limit". If you do this now in the later versions it deselect all the keys when you minimize the time segment. Very stupid if you ask me, that's one reason I continued to work in 7.5 for a long time. :)
