Creating brick walls seems easy because in most of the time you just use the brick pictures to create it. In these video tutorial, i want show you how to use tiles procedural map to create a high quality bricks. with tiles procedural map you can easily create bricks and control them.

You can also use wrap texture map that can distort the tile map and give it a more natural and random look.
I use it to distort many maps.

Look for all following there at the material plugins.

and advancednoise (from daniel santana)

If you re using mental ray and some map plugin you want to use is nt compatible with mental ray,
then you can rendertotexture for a specific object,
or even better render the tile to a square patch,edit in a paint program the vertical/horizontal offset and clone to fix the tilling ,
so you can use it as procedural displace or bump.

You can save more often when using these maps and plugin maps generally because as stable as they might be,they might crash sometimes.
