Hey there guys :)
I'm very excited 'cos I'm modeling my first robot :D
And your help is being essencial for my work, and I'll thank you forever!
I've researched today for a nice way of modeling sci-fi-like-cables, like this:
http://www.*******.com/getgalleryitem.php?cat=sci-fi&id=3850 or this one
http://www.*******.com/getgalleryitem.php?cat=sci-fi&id=3483
Well, I know I can do it with splines and then make a procedural map to create the details. But some cables will be animated for a walk cicle/attack move. As I really want to do a "custom" cable, do I have to use the spline method or model it from a cylinder, make the details and only then use some method for animation?
Thanks again and be well!
