Hello Games, the bright new star of the indie scene, is hiring. It’s pretty awesome. Here’s the “job description” – make fun games, drink tea, win awards and talk nonsense. You can have total creative freedom too, if you want.

Hello Games is a tiny team and it’s going to stay that way. It’d be nice to become the next big thing though, which is going to take at least a couple more friends. This is your chance to become a big part of a small team with big ideas.

We’re looking for anyone who likes making games, and is awesome. Specifically we’re really interested in new fresh talent to fill the roles below.

Junior / Graduate Artist

We’re looking for someone new who likes making art and creating games. We're sure you are hard working, ambitious and enjoy learning. Here are some other things we'd love you to have.

· Portfolio showing range, with examples of 2D and 3D artwork.
· Be prepared to wear many hats, not just your normal artist beret.
· Experience across disciplines, including concept, modeling, texturing and animation.
· A love of playing and making games

Hello Games wants to make games that will put a stoopid grin on your face. They have set forth on a brave journey of discovery and adventure to bring some new, funky coloured pixels to the world.

Achieving a Gold rating from the world’s largest gaming magazine, GameInformer, and Editors choice on the world’s largest gaming website, IGN. Joe Danger (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krbY-qHR7rY), was also recently nominated for three awards at GDC 2010, including the D2D Vision award and IGF Grand Prize. It was also nominated for Best New Download IP at the 2010 Develop Awards, where Hello Games walked away with Best New Studio and Best Micro Studio.

And it’s only just begun. Right now they are just four people, imagine what they’ll do with eight. Drop what you’re doing and come join them!

Hey there,

We use Maya here, but are willing to consider artists who can use any of the major 3D packages really - Max, XSI, Lightwave etc.

hi,
I am an animation student from Teesside university. I will be completing my masters in animation, sound and visual media by 21st September. I am more of a 3D generalist right now, with knowledge spanning modelling texturing, lighting and compositing. To my advantage, I am proficient in digital painting.

Well, I would like to ask, when applying for this job do I need to mention a specific role to apply? Is there any specific showreel format you guys are looking for? Can I just send a link to my showreel ?

There's no need to mention a specific role when applying, we are keen to hear from all-rounders.
Links to portfolios/showreels are fine too.
