You may post a drawing at ANY TIME, but if you wish to be eligible for the Sketch of the Week, it must be finished at least a week after the topic has been posted.
You may also re-post a copy of your finished drawing a this forum: Member SKETCH Collection (http://forums.cgsociety.org/forumdisplay.php?f=272)
Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.

If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
The artist also has to post total length of time it took and program used.
The topics will be picked at random from the list on the TOPICS thread >>LINK<< (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php/?t=145003)

Hello guys, so here is my walk in the snow. I think I'm shying away from strong colors, I think the next sketch i'll work on some contrast.

25min on PS

I really like Okzorg's take on this, the way that it has been painted gives that stylized feel of a postcard artwork!

Photoshop and 30 min (5 min mostly to make a change in composition ratio)

JurajMolcok:
1st one: Value might need to be worked on to get better contrast in your image? Just a thought.
2nd: Much better! :D Easier to see compared to first one.
spiritwulf:
Sorry your image isn't working atm.. :( Can't give you a comment...
Okzorg: Love that style! Definitely postcard artwork like tzolking suggested. Great composition, colors, and values. Contrast and such, no problem! Keep it up!
MrScabs: Gotta love this most of all for "mood" feeling, it is awesome and the values/colors are right on. Colour correcting and such probably paid off in this, but try to keep that in mind and do it right in the first place so the correcting process is less needed... that way you can keep yourself challenged. Know what I'm saying? :) Just a thought!
Creeto: Haha!!! Snow gotta have a nice yellow dye, yes! ;) Only thing I'm disappointed about is... why didn't you make an art in the snow too :( maybe your dog is an artist! ;) Hehe great usage of values!
tzolking: Nice entry :) I don't think you're shying away from strong colors, I tink it's more of values that you need to work on. The colors come later because right now, I See that the colors are ok... just that the values are too low to show contrast between the background and the person. Try darkening the values for this gal?
Pipichu: What a long yellow scarf you have! Nice style you got. Simple, but effective. :D Red eyes.. they always rock the art world eh?
