CUTE!!
holiday mood!
its really a big surpirse to see the wagon it is pulling at the back. Bigger than the car itself.. haha!
Good modelling. Good use of texturing and ... i am in love with the JBL Creature at the backdrop :p

LOVELY!!!!
I Love these image very much,Renderer in Cinema 4d is well known great for the realism.
Your concept also very imaginative and creative. I liked to see tiny people playing around :p
Good Job!

thanks m8
yes i thought i would make a funny scene. i thought i would be a funny sight seeing this cute car pulling a caravan, i mean it couldnt do it in the real world but its a better and different car render to the rest
i have also done a race car version of this cute slow car
click here to see the pic (http://www.ah-art.org/dd/brummbrumm.jpg)
i think this has a funny edge too
i didnt want to add ppl cause i wanted to leave that to the viewer
ie i wanted to give the hint of small ppl, its left to you to imagine if they are over wieght trailer ppl or watever

Wow, that's really kewl. Hard to diferentiate between the CG and the real background. (or is it all cg? :P)
One thing I did notice was the reflection map in the glass. Should be more reflections from things inside the room, no? I can see the reflection in the roof of the car, but IMO u should be able to see them in the glass as well.

yeah i agree with the reflection issue but the windscreen would only see the window that is infront so i opted not to show this as i wanted some of teh interior to show through, i should have added some though
it is a compo
cg elements are:
car and caravan
pizza box
chairs
crate and bottles
ladders at the back to give them a better view from up there
and a surf board cause they thought i meant surfing and not surfing the net
and the sand and spade
thats all the cg in the pic

Great work _dd! How did you do the compositing - totally in cinema? Could you give some tips - I'm currently playing with radiosity and compositing to a photo with Cinema, read a small tutorial by Holger Schomann but any tips on compositing would be great!

hi peoples
yes its all c4d no photoshop tweaking cause i never do that anyway
all i do is make a photo of the desk
make a 8 level hdr map of the same shot
place photo onto bg in c4d and on a floor, all matching is by eye no clever camera matching there. i find the eye is better and faster.
then i add the hdr to a large sphere exclude from the render and start adding the bits
sometimes i add dummy objects from the desk if they clash with the cg objects but in this case i planned the desk out b4 i started work
i find the frontal mapping in c4d ace for compo work
well thats it
if you need more help or tips message me on msn
davidson001@aol.com
i am on all day and night and only happy to help in any way as we can both learn from each other

very nice dave, I dont think normal people would be able to distinguish (<--spell) the cg parts from the photo thats for sure
I was thinking the bottles look a bit fat maybe, I also thought the side of the caravan looks a bit flat, but they are in really life ...
... so I dont know aboot that..
The racer version is cool:thumbsup:
davedavidson
09-29-2003, 07:15 PM
normal ppl lol
thanks simon
the caravan that i took the ref from has flat sides some have little ridges on them but they are all flat in profile if u get me
the bottles are designed for little ppl so they can get more out of each bottle, hence why they are chubby
i am currently making a bigger scene for the racer one so stay tuned for that one

ofcourse i say that
pssst it aint real m8 :surprised
great work dd.....
i'm going mad seeing people making the most astonishing things, just like that...3 days.... in a healthy -takes-me-further-and-makes-me willing-to learn-way, but still...aarrgghhh.
only things i could think of to improve are a tiny bit of reflection on the desk and maybe the roof of the caravan is overexposed, but hey, that are real minor details.
also like the race version. :) damn little cars. how much cc is it ? 600 diesel or so ?

Nice modelling.
I'd say the one thing that looks a little odd is the lighting, and the correspoinding shadows. the shadows look the wrong colour, and should be warmer. They also look overly diffuse, when you compare them to the shadow of the mouse and they look like they are coming from a lightsource directly above, rather than off to the side from a window.
Other than that, I like it alot.
davedavidson
09-30-2003, 05:01 PM
yeah the shadows are off, well spotted
when i get around to taking a photo of the background that isnt out of focus i will consider redoing the hdr too
race track needs sorting first
:)
