hi all crazy peoples,

need help,i'm at one step from light but cant reach it...
I successfully create the 2.5D lighting with ReLight node(using normal and point world pass) and also created the point cloud reference system with position to point node, lighting come out great, but now the biggest problem...shadows..
I understand that with the information i give, nuke can't create raytraced shadows(isn't it?)

There is some way, giving nuke some other data, to create 2.5D shadows? If not how do peoples solve the shadow issue in this kind of lighting?
if needed ill share the scene...

Thanks a lot,

Carlo

Not really. re-lighting is just there for small tweaks, not really for hero lighting.

ty for the reply,
i was expecting this bad news:-)

So ill try to find a good workflow to export lights from nuke, send them to maya and automatically batch render a shadow pass..if ill figure out how do it ill post the script...

ty again

you can easily create fake shadows with camera projections and rough geometry. Check out some of the shadow 3d gizmos on www.creativecrash.com and www.nukepedia.com
