Hi all. Back for another challenge. I discussed this one a bit on IRC but couldnt find any decent solution.
Here are the problems I am facing, let's see how you would do it.
The spiky part (teeth). I had a lot of difficulty making those while keeping the body spherical. In LW it is even more complicated because 5sided polys cannot be subdivided.
On top of that, the mesh for the body must allow the arms and tail to be modeled straight out of it without affecting the spherical shape of the body. I'm lost:hmm:
Pretty messy topology (and modeling), but just playing around. I would do kites for detail on the lips/teeth, as opposed to the triangles I did below.
It basically started as a cube subdivided twice, then shifted out the jaw, arms, etc.

It's a cartoon character, so keep it as simple as possible in terms of structure.

Wow it's really nice. I intend to make it as accurate as I can, but yours is very very good. I see you used tris for the point parts, and why not? Maybe I'll give it another try then:D Thanks

Here's mine:) I will add eyebrows like yours, or else it will not have a lot of expressions.
I used subpatch weight to make the points more pointy, like tottebias told me to do today. Still work to do, but now it's late. Later!

Finished! Now I gotta learn how to texture, and then animate:surprised:
