Hi there,

I'm knew to C4D from 3ds Max. It seems a great app so far.

Is it possible to achieve a similar effect to the 'dirt mapping' technique you can use in max with vray materials? As in these examples:

http://vray.us/vray_documentation/vray_dirt_example1.shtml

What could I use in C4D to get a similar result?

All help and advise very much appreciated!

You should be able to do this by using Ambient Occlusion in the Alpha channel of a material that is going over the top of your base material.
