Hi all!
I'm starting to texturing my first model but I have some issue to unwrap it. I want to unwrap different objects to a single 512x512 texture. I know how to do with single a mesh but not very well with multiple object. These are the steps that I'm following:
1) Create a multi/sub-object material with several sub material
2) Applay a different ID from the previous material to every single object on my model.
3) Applay the mapping coordinate to the single object
4) At this point if I apply the Unwrap modifier to an object I can see only that object and not all the other that share the same material, so it's difficult arrange the shape on the texture without overlap them. Is it possible that there isn't a way to see all the mesh unwrapped simultaneously?
The only way that i founded to unwrap all the object is: unwrap one object then use Textporter to create the texture, unwrap the second object and use the texture as background in the unwrap modifier, and so on. But you know that this process is very long and tedious, also because if you want modify something you to do everything from start.
I really appreciate any help :)
Thanks a lot!
P.S.: sorry for my english,I hope that my explanation is not so bad ;)
