Old thread... Read the story of Cleito's Crypt here. (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=89737)
I got only a few word of reply to the topic in the general WIP topic, so I decided to move here. I love Cinema4D. My latest idea:

C&C would be more than wellcome. Thank you!

looks more snow than water but i like it.
also check out the thread on here about using pyrocluster for water..might be worth investigating.

hmm it seems a little odd I can't honestly see the figure in the back, it is totally pitch black and kinda runs against the snow white color of the snow of water.

Yes, pyro might work if your really good but meta is fine too the problem you are having is that you have no reflection/refraction turned on. Now it will greatly gretaly increase your render times but....

It will also look cool ;)

work on lighting and work on the water.

By lighting I mean don't have black figure white water. icky icky icky, it clashes ALOT if you ask me.

Thanks... This Cinema4D forum is deffinitly better, than the WIP.
Pyrocluster... Maybe...
Transparency and reflections: I had tham, but in 1.5 hrs I got renderd only the 1st 1/3 of the picture. (P4 2.5GHz, 1GB RAM) :thumbsdow

here is my thread on Pyro water :

http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=89504

The effect is very spray like and i have not yet got a good fluid base, if i up the particle size or amount then they get to bright, the only way to stop the white out is to keyframe the self ilumination

please let me know if you get any thing usefull out of this idea i think there is some potential here

Well... I think it's very hard to make a good looking water. :thumbsdow
But it's good to know that there are others to share my pain.

I think I will trow my current scene to trash and make a new one. (No, not PyroCulster one. ;) )
I wish I could make some free time to make it.

one thing that confuses me about the scene is that I can't see much besides a black blob and a white blob if its some kinda crypt where is the crypt lol.

I think you have some compositional things to figure out first.

Lol, I was w8ing for that question. I need some time to make the background of the scene. That's why there is only a statue, and the water.

If I were you, I'd probably start building the environment now before trying to get the water running properly. The thing with water is that it depends a lot on the lighting, and the lighting in turn shouldn't be attempted until the environment is done - so...

I like this idea though. A hard one to make really good, but there's the challenge, isn't it? :)

Background first... Interesting scene building solution. I try it next time. Thanks a lot!
