I am sort of new to Maya's hypershade. I have a 3/4 view map that I placed some buildings onto a ground plane. I used the Shading map material to create a very flat color for the ground, sort of like a "toon shader". The light source is a direction light + mental ray to render. The only problem I have is that this material does not seem to take shadows. Is there a way to get a "shading map" material to accept a simple flat cast shadow?
Thanks
