Hello everyone,
I'm trying to create an olive oil material for an liquid simulation that I'm doing.
I'm looking for something like this:

I've started with an dielectric material for the first tests and with an phong shader where I set the diffuse level to 0, reflectivity and transparency to 1...
But at the moments the results are simply a crap.
Can someone give me a tip where to start.
I would really appreciate.

Use Mia_Shader, much more control there.


You can use the Fresnel reflection. Reflectivity at 1 and gloss turned off. Diffuse Weight: 0

Refraction around 1.6 and use a green color for the refraction. You can try and fade the refraction if you want under the advanced tab and add some glossy refraction if you want it to look dirty.

You will need something to reflect it to get a nice highlights, something with area lights and HDRI.
