Hi all,

Another reader project, this time Mihail Ivanenko shares with us how he created the unusual creature 'Artizel' in Photoshop, in this CGNetworks reader project.

Really nice work there. I like the attention to detail with all the feathers. looks really fresh and colourful, and to me suits the character.

How long did it take??

Cheers

I thought it was modeled. I was going to ask to see him animated. I cant believe how good the depth is in your work. It's uncanny. The character is fantastic. He looks somewhat like a Phoenix. I have nothing bad to say about this piece. It's outstanding. You are extremely talented.

do people just have a default generic compliment waiting in notepad to copy/paste over to the forums.

read before you post.

I read the article before posting...what do I get? Nothing? No praise? Lighten up people...:surprised

As for the bird if mister Ivanenko is reading...wings? Is this a bird? I would add wings:)....other than that...great work:)

I'm goning to have to disagree with you there Remi. The animal has feathers instead of hair. As well, it has a prehensile tail and huge ears. These are things you don't see on birds too often. The depth of the piece is nice as far as the character goes. Ther only thing that distracts me is the "shinyness" of the berry in it's hands. It looks too polished, but maybe teh little guy has been licking the skin all over, because he REALLY likes that berry.

Overall, fantastic work by, Mihail Ivanenko. And the article gives a good and brief detail of his process.
Kudos to the author, and the artist.

Um,...how about you worry about what you post, and the rest of us will worry about what we post. You ain't my mom as far as I know, and I'd rather read a generic compliment over a lame smart aleky comment like yours any day. :buttrock:
