Ok, i wanted to challenge myself in doing a low poly car, i chose the p-34 since it has 6  wheels, exposed suspension and engine

Try doing that low poly!!!
Anyways, here it is, as is including all you see it is 3114 TRIANGLES so its 1557 polys.

Comments and Crits welcome!
Excuse the pic, soon enough ill get some webspace.:hmm:

it looks goog but its tough to see anything wrong from the tiny pic without any wires. but it is an interesting subject for modeling.

Looks great!
One special f1 car indeed!.. After all Ronny drove it!

Any chance of sharing the blueprint? I've got one from the P34A wich is the 77 model, would really like the 76 version since that's the one Ronny drove!

Are you going to insert it into some game, or is for a game? If it's for own pleasure then i suggest you try it in Racer(car simulation project), www.racer.nl or www.racesomcentral.com (checkout the official forum).

Cheers!

hey thats a great car to model. You have made a good start allready. I think you can do al lot of cleaning up to get the polycount down. I think you can lose a lot of polies on the side of the cockpit.

Maybe some bigger pictures could help to see the model better. Why not try a free host for you pics?

thanks for the comments guys, yeas a bit of optimizing will be in order, and the blueprints i have are of the 77 version driven by peterson or depaillier.

As far as getting it into rafcer and F1c 99-02, i have had many problems with thte conversion process which just totally sucks the wind out of me, but if anyone is interested in trying, be my guest.

Just wondering about the car itself...
When you steer it, do the whole 4 wheels turn at once? :O

Nice model BTW ;)

a little sneak peak at texturing:

And no. This vehicle ran in Formula-1 in 1976 and 1977 but was quickly banned from F-1 since it had a clear advantage.

and excuse the cheap render:

hey great job on the texturing, I love the worn look of the tyres. Whats the final polycount and can we have a look at the wires?

The thread you have linked isn't working, the RSC boys updated their software so your thread is here:
http://forum.racesimcentral.com/showthread.php?t=110892

The pictures don't work though!..

How about the blueprint you use?.. perhaps you bought the model it? or would you mind sharing it?
