I've been working on a project to make my first high poly mesh, i've been into low poly for awhile now, mainly modeling and a bit of animation. But anyways, i'm about to rigg up my character, and i was wondering if you guys could give me any pointers on what looks off in my model, what loops don't look right, what's gonna kill me in the skining/animation part, mainly just looking for some constructive critisism.

Thanks all...

Thanks zero, I've upped 2 closeup wires of the face for you, and thanks for your comments, I've noticed alot of time cg artists do overexagerate the hands, i don't really know why this is, but i tryed to more acuratly model the hands, do they look off proportionate? In which way do you think i should make them bigger (Plane x,y,z?)

(like left to right from the pic shown, base of hand to tip of fingers) i would have told you a direction but i couldn't not tell if your useing a y up world or not. the edge loops in the face are nice. from the side shot i think you should move the eyes back a little (take away soem of that flatness feel. Hope this helps and good luck

I thought that you guys would be critiquing away by now, i guess i should be happy you guys can't find much to say. Anyway thank you very much zeroeefx for your comments, i do agree with your comments on the eyes and hands, and i will see if i can't fix it. Any body else care to comment?

The only thing i would say is that it looks like in the profile pic that her eyeballs are pushed alittle far back in thier sockets other than that good work>

edit: sorry that was already mentioned i guess i should learn to read

mischief5star - I think that zeroeefx was talking about the eye in general, like the part around the eyball, but i see what you mean by pulling it forward, i'll probably kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak by just pulling the eyepart backward, thanks for your comment though. Anything else?

I think there is a lot to improve on it but its a good start. I think the legs should be more defined for the muscle structure as they look rather straight like "bagette" and lack a bit of shape. You should consult an anatomie book to see how they should be shaped. I think the nose is also not right. It's too large, especially in the middle part but all the way as well.

the waist? looks a bit too hight and her silhouette looks a bit too masculin too. maybe make it more slim and lower the hips a little. You could put in much more detail of the anatomy and more muscle contour. I am not suggesting to create a body builder but something that show a bit more definition in the muscle structure like any normal female have.

I think the eyes are maybe too far apart. If you make the nose a bit more narrow, you could bring the eyes a bit closer too.

Thanks daniella3d for your reply, i agree with the legs, i kinda hurried through them, mainly cause i don't think that they will be seen to much, so i'm not really gonna worry bout them. as for muscle structure, yeah, obviously i'm not an expert or anything, but i tried to get away with as much detail as i could, if i ever come back to work on this model, the legs, and the hip area would be the first thing i would work on. As for the face, i will try moving the eyes closer together, and narrowing the nose down a bit. I'll keep you updated

Ok, my first attempt to narrow all elements led to utter disaster, the face became more masculane, so i gave it another try, and i got slightly better results. I also pulled back the sorounding eye skin, and that kinda killed the flatness mentioned. Well here are the links...
