Hey all, I currently run a 22" NEC CRT with dual inputs (DVI and VGA)...with their "ambix" technology - which allows you to switch between the two inputs on the fly.

I am wondering if anyone has experience with LCD that have this capability? NEC makes a couple of nice ones, but I am wondering if any of the cheaper models that have dual inputs have the swtiching as well....perhaps the Samsung 191T?

The point is to go to a dual LCD setup where both monitors can be switched between a Mac and PC, enabling dual monitor operation on either box.

I have a setup like that (2 PCs though) with 2 NEC CRTs. It's convenient.

However you'll lose the benefit of DVI on LCD - so you may want to use one, or rather two of those DVI splitters or whatever thay are called instead - I have no experience with them.

The last time i looked into a DVI based switchbox, they were so expensive that you could nearly buy another pair of DVI LCDs.
