Hi guys :)

I'm studying at Media Design School and I am currently working on texturing an alien head for a class film production. His concept design is very fish-like with a see-through dome head (you can see his brain floating around through the top half of his head), and I am not sure how to go about creating a shader that allows me to have the translucent/transparent effect while keeping my SSS effects working.

Does anyone have a suggestion or a method that I could try? Please, any suggestions would be very appreciated as I need to get this problem solved as soon as I can :)

Below is an wip image of the alien head so far:

Thank you in advance! :D

Append a mib_opacity node to the end of your shader: add the texture to the opacity and the shader to the input. The transparency node would plug into the shading group instead of the shader.
