View Full Version : Animated ynamicConstraint.enable bug

may it be that the animated dynamicConstraint.enable-attribute evaluates incorrectly in Maya 2010?
The docs say it should only reset the restLength of the constaint-links when toggled to on.

But in my scene it seems to calculate the restLength every frame although .enable is only keyed once from off to on. This makes my nMesh veer away from the object it is constraint to.

How can I work around that and make sure the nMesh stays with it's constraining object even if I animated the .enable attribute?

Found the workaround, posting it here to spare people the guessing:

I had the .enable-attribute of the dynamicConstraint not keyed directly but connected to another node of my rig that was keyed. Maya this made Maya not see the keyframed toggle, so I keyed the .enable attribute directly and that worked.

Hope that helps someone...
