i love the still, did u use a picture as reference?

Yes, it was all done in painter. First roughly sketched with pencil tool, then coloured with a few custom brushes. I used a wacom tablet. I also used a black and white reference photo.

amazing! i keep seeing great tablet pics. i know it's off the topic of the thread but could you explain how easy (or hard) they are to learn and the basic jist of them? i would appreciate that a lot !

I've been using a wacom tablet for about 2 years now as one of my tools. It simply takes a lot of practise before you feel as comfortable with it as you would a pencil on paper. You can adjust pressure settings, etc for specific software. Painter works very well with the tablet. You can start out by trying the Wacom Graphire tablet which is very affordable and comes with a limited version of Painter Classic.
