Has anyone else seen this?:

It seems to record key frames interactively. Can AM do this? If so, please explain how.
Thanks.

I watched it and didn't see what you were talking about. Looked like he simply posed the model and hit the little key icon to create a keyframe. Nothing out of the ordinary there.
However, I'm not sure about the latest versions of A:M, but v8.5 had a "mouse capture" option that allowed you to do what (I think) you're talking about.
Also, it seems like I read somwhere that someone is working on a MIDI plug for A:M which allows you to do real-time animation based on input from a MIDI device. You might want to search around for info on that as well.
Yeah I guess it's the "mouse capture" thing I'm talking about :) But it looks like the animation stops playing when you stop using the mouse. As far as I'm aware in AM you press record and try to fit every movement in to the alotted time. If you're not fast enough, the frames keep on coming....if you understand me.
I may be wrong and indeed hope I am!

There is no "mouse capture" going on at all. Animanium is strictly a pose to pose animation system. All he is doing in the demo is setting keys, advancing in the timeline, setting more keys, then scrubbing through the timeline to check the animation.

Just to add a comfirmation, I've been testing the beta version and there is no real-time animation capture in Animanium. In fact, I have to say that I'm not very impressed with it at all. It's got some very interesting IK options but it can be very uncontrolable and the joint snapping doesn't work like advertised at all. I was hoping that when you snapped a joint, it would be fixed in space but that's not the case due to a larg amount of drift.

Can't argue with that :) Cheers!
