and brazil

.... and this is my problem I'm only using sky light no other lights and as you can see in brazil room is dark...when I increasing sky mulitpier room is getting brighter but...I got unnice spots

I know that I should increase view samples but it also increase rendertime a lot! And I also can't get so nice transparency of curtains as in vray.
Here is a scene, if someone is intrested...there is simcloth3 in it.
Scene was created by vray user from chaotic dimension forum.

I dont use 3dsmax or vray or brazil, but from what i can see your settings are way wrong
That vray picture took over 22 minutes to render? On what computer? And in what resolution?
Also, whats the rendertimes for that brazil rendering?
it seems as if photon GI is the way to go with brazil, it seems as if you only used the "regathering" feature?
Also, when dealing with curtains and stuff like that, render out a separate mask for just them so you can tweak their intensity in photoshop or some other compositing package.
Edit: Im not sure SSS is the way to go for curtains, curtains isnt like wax or anything, they scatter the light a bit, but not much.
what computer?...take a look at my signature ;)
I never understood why people wanted to include their system specs in their signature.... but ok.
What about the other parts? Post your rendering settings, as it is now, how are people supposed to help you?

So your problem are the blocky renderartifacts right. I don't think theres another solution to this then to turn up the settings of the view rate and samples...
well...so I guess that there isn't any way to have nice quality in this case with brazil and rather short render time as in vray or finalrender.

You call 22 minutes fast?
Anyway, post your settings so that someone can tell you if you are on the right track or not. I cant believe that scene would take 22 minutes, is it the SSS shader that slows down so much or what?

What's the point of using a skylight in this scene? Looks like you're using the irradiance map for vray, which is going to be faster than the brute force qmc and it's going to be smoother. So I'm not surprised at the difference in your scenes. You'd probably be better off shining a light into the window in either rendering system as the lighting will be better and easier to control.
See this is what happends when you implement toy features like skylight... people think its the "make me cool rendering" button so they end up using it for EVERYTHING!!

wurp I see that you must be a very smart person who knows everything about rendering...Well I guess I'm not so smart as you are and because of that I'm testing different settings to see how it will work.
22 minutes I don't call fast this is what I call fast:

haha, yeah, I agree about skylights. It's important to use simple rendering and lighting functions as well as texturing functions to save time, and skylights or other render time consumers aren't entirely needed in producing a nice image. I like how the scene looks when it's set up properly though, that render time wasn't bad at all and it looks nice. I dont have MR or FR, but I wish I could give them a test drive.

Why use sss for curtains? It'd be much faster and look just the same if you used a standard translucency hack.
