I was wondering if anyone has set up a character rig for a quadruped before, if so , I'd love some help or advice please !

Try downloading a demo of setup machine for Maya: www.anzovin.com/setupmachine/setupmachinemaya.html

I think there´s a quadraped rig in there... not sure how good though...
