I have a rigged mesh, I added nurbs objects as influences and painted weights too them. But now when I mirror the weighting, the different nurbs objects don't effect the side they are on. So to be more clear, if I mirror from -X to +X, all the nurbs objects will have the same weighting on both sides of the mesh. If I mirror +X to -X all the nurbs objects on the left side of the mesh will also now effect everything on the right side of the mesh. It DOES mirror the weighting, but it doesn't split it into to different objects controlling the weights. Anyone know how to work around this or tell Maya to stop being dumb...lol
