Hey there,
i'm using maya 2011 w/ mental ray to render my scenes and have it split up into one beauty layer with all my passes and a seperate AO layer for my AO.
The problem is that the AO layer has some sort of position offset as far as I can tell. It's not even the whole frame, it's just parts that are animated (which as an animation student, is a real bummer).
if I render AO as a pass, it somehow renders with lighting information and shadows in the pass and I don't know how to get rid off it.
I'd prefer to render it in a layer anyway to cut down on render times(AO seems to kill my render times as a pass).
Any clues as to why this might be happening?
Thanks very much!
