Hey Folks, due to popular demand you can now download a Maya 4.5 version of my character 'CharacterB'. The character has a rig which was created using an automated rig tool called AdvancedSkeleton. It has a nice rig interface panel for rig control selection.

...and the video on how to use the rig... (http://www.lostpencil.com/images/character_b_video.zip)

First thanks for your efforts.
I havent messed with character rigging in Maya yet so I dont without looking whats going on here but I am assuming this is for after you get your rig setup then you use this for controling that rig from this interface?
Is that correct?

Thanx again!

Hello,

You are welcome!

Yes, the interface is a little window that allows you to graphically select the controls for the rig. You can select the controls on screen (as in your perspective view or what have you) or you can select the controls through the UI window. It is created automatically by AdvancedSkeleton when you use AdvancedSkeleton to create a rig for your character.

So, to clarify: the character I released is a standalone character/rig that uses the graphical interface for selection (which was released by permision). It isn't meant to be used for other rigs. If you want the same functionality as the interface selector that is found in my character/rig you need to purchase AdvancedSkeleton which does this sort of thing for you automatically (no I don't work for them ;) ).
