Hm ok, for the second time my thread (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=446968) got closed due to inactivity, but never mind, here we go again ;)

So I decided to finally try this 50 heads challenge thing, we'll see how it goes.

So far I have a selfportrait:

and a few small Caravaggio studies (there's more, but they're awful so I won't post them)

The other day I did a figure study from life

Not so great, but it's a start...

And some still life in the meantime so I don't get rusty.

Thanks for viewing! :)

Almost forgot, I did a painting half a year ago, acrylic on canvas:

Later I figured the chest is waaaaay off, so I'll probably come back to it one day and fix it.

Hey Nelchee!

First of wall welcome. Next, that's one creepy painting. I believe it's not hanging on a wall anywhere :) I'd really like to see it revised. Go get some inspiration from Brom (http://www.bromart.com/) and keep up with the good stuff.

Hi razz, thanks for stopping by :)

I don't hang my own art on my walls (it seems a bit narcissistic), so it's currently hanging in my old room at my parents' place. Were it someone else's painting, I'd gladly hang it in my living room for everyone to see :P

Thanks for the suggestion but I'll pass, I have plenty of inspiration for my work already ;)
Thank you, I'll definitely try to.

I have two friends who are into martial arts (and are ninjas in training :D), I referenced this from their Facebook photos.
The lady at the bottom is from Bouguereau's "Bathers".

These friends would make wonderful models for life studies, I'll ask if they have time for that :)

You have good expressions, but I can see that form and natural accuracy is really inhibiting other people from seeing your vision. I think you could really benefit from the Loomis book on figure drawing and try to get a better hold of anatomical accuracy. This way it wont stop your art from being fully visualized.

Keep us posted! Good luck!
