CGTalk - Writing Plugins?

Hi,

I have downloaded the max demo and I would like to write a plugin for it. However, it is pretty hard to find a forum where one could ask questions about development and alike. So my question is: what is the best place to get answers to serious plugin development questions?

Is it that obvious? :) ok, so I can ask questions here, which is goood. But what is "the area"? Do you have a link? I find the autodesk site pretty confusing.
