WIP - Sewed orc

Here is my first version of the character:

i have seen other your work....and i see u have this thing to "mix things up"....body parts mostly...hmm...
can u light me up how do u come up with these kind of ideas.?

I take that as a compliment =D.

Anyway, I think it started when I was very small, you see I've always had problem painting arms and legs. There fore I have done mosty heads, and by the reason I can't paint legs I tend to paint other things instead of "ordinary legs" =).

An other reason is that there are so any pictures of orcs standing with it's weapon, I don't say they are ugly or that there is something wrong with that, just that it's so "ordinary". I have always tried to have my own style =D, and often when I've painted one arm I thinks that it's to hard to copy it, so I make a sword stick out of it or something like that =)..

When I draw these monsters I often begins with the head, and then just, paints something. I might have an idea before I start, like the orch that has been half eaten =). Anyway I paint a lot when I'm tired (or angry, sad, happy), so my temper reflects on my sketches too.

So basicly, what I do is that I don't think "How do orcs really look like?", I think "What would look cool on this character?" instead.
