I'm using a Dell GX110 here @ work and recently got a new vid card upgrade. However, I want to disable the onboard intel video for the 810e chipset. Is that possible?

I think you can set videocard detection to "auto" in the bios or even disable onboard card there. Does it have an AGP slot at all? Or is it a PCI card?

yeah, it's set to auto currently. I want to actually disable it completely though .... but neither Windows 2K or the BIOS will let me do so. HAving that other video card active gave me problems initially when I was setting things up and I don't want them to pop up later @ inoportune times. In anycase, it's all PCI, this thing has no AGP.

You're prolly going to have to switch some jumpers around, that's what i had to do with my old HP back in the day. I dont know if you have the dell manual, but you might just have to give dell a call.
