Do you think enrolling for the FXPHD course is a good idea?

I took the fxphd courses before. I am not going to lie, I did not care much for them at all. Although I was completely new to 3d and vfx at the time. I would suggest taking their courses after you have a good grasp then go to fxphd. Their courses are good, but NOT for beginners.

Fxphd costs $330 (u.s.a.)

Your better off subscribing to digital tutors, try it for one month $45, then if you like it, subscribe for 6 months. I highly recommend them!!

I think fxPHD can vary a bit from course to course, but a few of the ones I've taken were fantastic (the After Effects/Motion Graphic courses by Tim Clapham in particular). For the most part I agree that it isn't beginner level stuff though there are some introductory courses as well, it all depends what you're looking to do.

Long story short, Don't take fxphd if you are new to 3d or vfx!

Can we apply to a university with FXPHD certification for enrolling in a masters (MA) program if my bachelor degree is a three year one and that too not a fine art degree?

They probably won't think much of the Fxphd certificate, but if you show some decent work (portfolio) you made from their courses, then you could possibly get some scholarships or something. But it can vary from college to college.
