Hi,
just trying to get used to Rhino, but navigation gets really sluggish when I put reference images into the viewport. The images are small, about 1500px wide. It seems to be OK when I zoom out, but when I try to zoom in close-up it gets quite bad and annoying.

I was wondering whether it might just be something specific to my system or whether other users experience this too... I'm running Rhino Evaluation on Mac Pro, booting with Windows 7, ATI X1900XT graphics card.

does the image size too big, did you try updating gfx card drivers

The problem was due my gfx drivers. I downloaded the latest available drivers from ATI which certainly helped, but it's still far from perfect. If I knew that a new gfx card would solve the issue, I would get one, but I'm not going to replace my current gfx card unless I know that for sure.

I have ATI too, but I suppose NVIDIA is better for compability
