Thanks! Here are some images. The House on Spooky Hill was something we were hired to do, but never panned out. The Max & Buddy stuff will be released in the next few months I believe.

I don't suppose somebody could mirror this on a site - 3dluvr has a problem with large bandwidth files especially with the kind of attention this forum is bringing to the file. It's already timing out .....

Did you create all of the objects or did you just animate them....some of the models look Bill Flemming'ish...sorry to say that...but the dosch model series he put out back when has a character that looks like the mask the kids are wearing....just curious...don't care if you did....I can't download the anim so all I have to go off of is the images you posted...which also load extremely slow and i'm on a T1:)

Yah those are Flemming models. He hired us to animate a children series for him, but it never panned out. No suprise there. Heh... Anyway, he did the modeling and some texturing. I did the lighting/texturing and animation on those shots. The schedule on that was horendous. I'd have to animate minimum 3 - 5 characters a day and get like 4 - 6 seconds done per character per day. Oh the horror stories.... (remember the hell Randall??? => ) I never want to go through that again... The Max & Buddy stuff, I modeled the character and animated. Another guy did the fur w/ Shave & Haircut in Maya. Everything else on the reel I pretty much did all myself from scratch.

everyone bashes lensflares and chrome balls but we gotta stop with the royalty free techno.

visuals were great though. just feel like you should do them more justice with something not so cliche

Hehe, yea Facemn I remember the hell... don't remind me.
But, don't cut us short it was at Least 10secs a day with 3 to 5 characters per shot. :D I have to say working on the Max and Buddy project was a lot more fun and alot less stressful. Here's to good times and fun projects. :buttrock:

I'm with reb3d here, what position are you applying for? This reel seemed very unfocused, so it was hard to tell. I'd also recommend dumping the music or at least fading the music out when a character is speaking. Was your lipsyncing good, can't tell as they aren't making any sound.

Not bad by any means, but I think your chances of getting hired would increase if it was more focused.

I like the opening with Madden, i do remeber that opening, it was very cool on ps1. are your going for an all rounded demo reel, or focusing in a particular area? I really like the blood shot, and the digital juice pieces, I would of liked if the camera shook as the plane went by. :)

I have 1 question regarding the file size. is this a demo reel for vhs and web? if for web, u may want to get the file size down, and perhaps use quicktime, since its universal. maybe between 8mb-15mb :)

The music is from an mp3 I got from a guy in the office. I think it was ripped off of winamp somewhere. Dunno. I really edited it up though to time out. I think the song title is "5 million miles".
