hi!!! :wavey: I have a problem with transparent shadows in Brazil.

When I use brazil shadows I cannot make an object receive shadows through' a surface (transparent shadows). If I use area shadows I can't activate the transparent shadows and I don't know why.

Some tips please?? (with max standard lights my brazil crashes max)

Thanks!!

yes, go to the official support which is available through your accountpage!

yeah, but I took the fast & easy way 'cause It's making me a lose of time.

And if everybody's comments were so "constructive" this forum wouldn't have climbed where it's now, on the top of the 3D forums; because I haven't asked how can I get it. I know how to answer my question, and this forum is one of the ways.

Thanks anyway!

ehm, IF you'd bought it, you would know that there is a specific brazil webboard for clients, and a live support system where I(or others) would have been to awnser your questions in realtime, which IS faster than a forum.

which would have taken you less time than it cost you now.

and yes this is a great forum, but its not a forum that supports warez.

you keep making non-constructive comments.

I have not said I had a legal rendering system engine.

I only asked one question. And It doesn't matter if my brazil is legal or ilegal. Maybe I only want to try it with the last complete version to find out If i am interested on it.

I have asked one think, and you try to say everybody that I have the illegal software...

Then...I am curious about knowing what the thread is asking, and I have choosen cgtalk for being my information source. So people like Khepri, if you have bought the legal soft and you think that you can go trying to reveal who has the legal soft and who not, I prefer not to receive replies from you.

I hope people who has anytime tried some plugin, understand me.

And I have not said I have it illegal.

Who doesn't have some mp3 downloaded from the internet...?

I hope I don't break any rule of the forum...

thanks a lot.

Imagine discreet guys going around the forums asking the users to head over the official forums....,

Splutterfish guys seems to follow cgtalk forums only for redirecting people...

Splutterfish guys seems to follow cgtalk forums only for redirecting people...

Honestly, can you blame them? Would you not do the same if you were Splutterfish? I know I would.

I propably wouldnt.
At least i wouldnt go around in forums considering everybody a warezhead.
This not a good business practice.

Its even useless and annoying going around checking forums and whenever Brazil word appears replying with "please go to official forums".

for the record,

Splutterfish LLC does not tell me to react like this, and they are in no way responseble for my actions. I am.

if you dont like it, thats your loss.

I do this because I like splutterfish LLC as a company, and I love the community around it.

they have done so much for the max community in general over the past years, even before they started splutterfish LLC.

and I dont think its fair if their hard work gets abused by people.

cgtalk is a great community as well, and I will not let it get end up like alot of other forums where people think of it as a "ask your warez questions" spot on the internet.

and DDS: get a grip

...gets abused by people...

Thats what im talking about. You have to restrict somewhat what you define as abusement, cause your behaviour actually hurts splutterfish.

(this isnt triggered by this specific thread but also from some older ones, always brazil related)

In the past, sometimes when I have a brazil related question, I put the question here in cgtalk and I get an answer from people who work on spluttefish, they really help me, and never ask for things like legal or illegal soft. They simply help me, like all user in this forum, If I read a question, and I know the answer, I will try to help, for free, and no questions. I don't understand why Khepri waste his time to put a reply like that, all of us know about legal and illegal soft issues, personally I don't need any to remember me what is good or bad in this world. I prefer people who like help and share their knowledge.

just my opinion.
(no pixels where harmed during the making of this answer) :P
pd: sorry for my english.

Somehow, I feel Plaguelord has a good point there...

(...)

I can remember looking for ideas solving some Brazil related illumination problem here, that could be also related to any other leading Renderer engine, but I only got a "Go to the official support..." or something ike that... I posted that thread to discuss among the CGTalk forum ('couse I like beeing here!), and maybe find someone with a good hint or idea, not becouse I had problems with the render engine... And yes, it seems Brazil related qustions are a bit on the "taboo" side now...

So, I think I'll join Plaguelord by this, if someone asks, and I've got some ideas, I'll share it. Thats what this forum is for. Or not?

So, DDS, are you using Brazil shaders (like basic, advanced, glass...) or are you using the standard MAX shaders (or other special shader type...) If you've got transparent shadows checked in a Brazil shader rollut, and you're using Brazil light sources with Brazil raytraced shadows, than it should work...
Although, finding answers to crash issues illudes me... Sorry. :)

And I still think Brazil kicks ass. And keep telling that to people... :D

/Sorry for bad grammer, typed this in quite a hurry...

Wowww I think someone is getting the idea on what I wanted....!!!!

yeahhh thanks a lot Aldaryn. I was using max default shaders!!:annoyed:

Everyone, please stop discussing this thing. I don't know why I have replied Khepri and his...........comment, maybe I would have had to do what he was telling me from the begginin'. I wasn't on the mood in that moment.

Well, thanks a lot people who though more or less like me on that issue of the legal/ilegal software.

Bye! :wavey:

(brazil crashed for another thing, a logical thing)

I'm with Khepri, s

Some folks don't value hard work others put into the things they create.

:thumbsdow

If you get warez then ask your warez questions to the folks you got it from.

an analogy:

lets say you 3D folk built a house in beautiful Spanish hills,
married a beautiful Gal, went to work, and then some other person came by to enjoy the comforts of your house ,and your Gal.

Such a things do happen, and its a part of society that have no values, and unfortunately warez user's are pretty close to that.
