I know, not much for almost an hour of work, but most of my time was spent working on that plateau :banghead:

and at 130 min:

Daniel, neat picture!:D
PeterRabel, i suggest you think on the next thing i have to say. When sketching something, never get on with the details like in this one with the plateau. You should capture the whole picture, the big volumes and shapes, with a bit of strokes and only then add details. This way you will get more stable composition and paint process will be more natural. The same goes to almost every rookie here..
Wexter, great one! I just love the amout of details you put in the piece for such a short time! :applause:

Thank you for the advice Advarsky!
That's what I was trying to do, if you look at the 55 minute version, I have all of the big shapes laid out. After I did that, I started going from section to section filling in the details. I am not sure how else to go about it. Are you suggesting that I gradually fill in details universally across the image instead of going so far with each piece before I move on?

Well, yes i am. You just paint the whole piece for some time, and only when you really got it all you go for little details.
Angharlech, hello there and welcome!! Nice sketch! :applause:

I forgot to watch the clock, so it went a little bit over the 55 minutes. She doesn't look vile enough and too much like a man... Pretty hard to draw a witch :curious:

Nice to see so many great sketches in just one thread!

danielh68, that's just awesome! Great concept!
Creeto, your experiments are always very creatively inspiring!
Advarsky, nice one! Very fairy-tale like with the colours and all.
Sterngucker, very nice mood!
Yorik, purplerain, TimWinkelman, gdsworld and Wexter - Great concepts! :)
Angharlech, also great concept! It's very curse-y indeed. :)
PeterRabel, nice concept! Reminds me of some of the characters from the old-school Spyro the Dragon video games. In a good way of course! :)

(*Phew* Maybe I should select a random few to give feedback instead. :surprised )

Took me about an hour for my own piece. Started out with a traditional pencil sketch and finished it in Painter. Used a reference for the bunny skull.
