View Full Version : MayaPLE and Importing models
Before all y'all throw your popcorn at me for playing with MayaPLE (can't afford MayaComplete riight now), I wanted to play around with some of the models i have and see how they work inside Maya.
So I'm with the PLE version, and I can find no refference to importing WavefrontOBJ geometries.
Now I understand that MAYA is a NURBS tool, but isn't WavefrontOBJ native to it as well?
Any help?

i don't know if PLE has this, but go to window-settings-plugin manager and activate objExport if it's there. i guess maybe no, because what i've heard they took all away so that you can't export import etc.
Actually, I'm looking to import OBJ files I already have. Already know I can't export anything.

tthe import of obj seems to be default. no plugin etc. so if it's not in your options then :hmm:
OUCH! That's just painful...
I'll have to write A|W on that then... thanks :D

PLE only works with its own file format.
