View Full Version : 3dmax hard surface modeling/Splines?

I need some good advice on the best way to model this door out. I'm assuming splines would be the best way to get nice crisp edges and also get the detail in the beveled areas inside the purple frame but I'm not sure how to go about doing it! Any advice or a tutorial would be much appreciated!! I need some expert advice. Thanks!!!

That looks like a pretty easy modeling task. Begin with a spline, extrude. Start cutting to make the details...

For the door you could create a polygon and start modeling it as a normal shaped door then use the FDD modifier to give it that look, as for the outer trim I would use a spline with that.
