It has been a REALLY long time since I've participated in one of these. I think it's about time I enter again, especially considering the source material. I'm not all that familiar with Frazetta's work, yet at the same time can always remember a time where his art was somewhere nearby. I'm going to be going with the sketch below... not even sure what the character's name is. More research to be done, clearly.

I actually have a goal to have this done in time to include on the demoreel I'm trying to have together for SIGGRAPH, so... this model should be done relatively soon <fingers crossed>.

Well, I've got a start... a very rough, quick start, but a start nonetheless. Here's a link to the timelapse (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHetSGkqpZ8) of the work thusfar. This is my first sculpt based on zsketch mode, and I'm still not 100% sure I like it yet. We shall see. Before I go any further into detailing, I'll be blocking out the rest of the pose/scene.

you chose very cool piece. I didn't saw that one before. But it's also very difficult because of the drapery and the mood. She feels like a sexy female Hannibal Lecter. ...yuck :) Thats what i like in this picture.
